Opens Sunday Oct 29 at noon. Brenda Stace Chat’s exhibition of ‘Piano Pieces’ will be opening at Cowra Micro, the new community-run art space at Cowra Railway Station.
Brenda Stace Chat has spent years salvaging defunct pianos and meticulously crafting them into wall-sculptures, part geometric abstracts, part ceremonial artefacts. The opening coincides with the Lachlan Valley Rail’s monthly tourist train-ride, with Devonshire tea in the beautifully-restored Saloon Car.
‘Piano Pieces’ can be viewed at Cowra Micro weekends from 11am-3pm until Nov 19.
This is the second activity of the Artists of Cowra East collective funded in 2023 through the NSW Government’s Country Arts Support Program.
