An interactive Art Program for People Living with Dementia and their Carers
The small groups of four participants and their carers met and talked about art works and then made art works that related to these discussed art works. Materials used promoted movement and response to works.
The art program was inspired by the Australia National Gallery Art and Dementia Outreach Program.
The program has been shown to increase well-being by building connections between group members and valuing the input of participants.
