The Accessible Artistry group of artists, working with disability, are settling into their fantastic new studio space on the Charles Sturt University Bathurst campus. This space has been generously supported by CSU Bathurst.
“I’m loving these workshops. It’s a great opportunity to socialise, and to meet people who also have abilities that are different to everyone else’s, and a great opportunity to learn different ways to think outside the box.” – Emily Daniels, artist.
In this most recent 12-week block of weekly workshops they’ve been exploring sculpture using papier-mâché and plaster with Hill End artist Hopi Steiner.
“It has been the most wonderful experience to support and grow this exploratory program of arts education for these brilliant local artists. We have grown our cohort of professional artist workshop lecturers to six. Each new lecturer brings professional practice and skills ranging from drawing, painting, ceramics, photography, collage and sculpture.” – Steven Cavanagh, Arts OutWest.
Again, our thanks to Carenne Support Limited and Suppoya for funding this program and to CSU Bathurst for championing it.
