The Plinth Show has landed in Tottenham, Condobolin and Lake Cargelligo for the months of December 2024 and January 2025.
Multi disciplinary artist, Pol Cruz, is showing his playful and surreal sculptures in Tottenham Visitor Information Centre. I visited Pol Cruz in his studio at Bogan Gate. He has an extensive archive of fabulous work. He and his partner Mark live surrounded by the most beautiful peacocks, chickens, birds and their dog.
Ceramic artist Alison Wheeler is showing a new range of mugs and plates with Australian designs at Lake Cargelligo Visitor Information. Alison is a local artist living and working in Lake. Her ceramics are utilitarian and colourful, reflecting the vibrant flora and fauna all around her.
The Condo Pottery Group have contributed 9 works for the Condobolin Visitor Information Centre. This group of artists came together only 3 yrs ago with a CASP grant and are now producing wonderfully varied and technically skilled ceramics. Each artist pursuing their own unique style and viewpoint.
The Plinth Show is an Arts OutWest initiative and curated by Steven Cavanagh. Each month, artworks by local artists are displayed on plinths in a different Visitor Information Centre within the Arts OutWest footprint.
