Guubbaay is an exhibiting artist at the Kew-Y-Ahn Aboriginal Gallery at Hartley Historic Site.
Guubbaay is from the Nuccorilma clan of the Gamilaraay Nation. Born in Tingha he resides in Mudgee in Central Western NSW.
His chosen medium is encaustic wax which he manipulates to create landscape images of his homelands and abstract pieces.
“I like using encaustic wax to create abstract images and seeing what images people can find in the work – it could be a person, an animal – people see different things”.
