Arts OutWest Arts Restart Micro Grants Program

Round Two – Individual grants and community activity grants

Applications close Monday 22 March 2021

Arts OutWest ran a very successful first round of Micro Grants in 2020. In 2021, with the support for the NSW Government’s Arts Restart funds, Arts OutWest is offering round 2 of Micro Grants to ‘restart’ arts activity and assist individuals and organisations in our service region.

There are two types of grants on offer, from a total pool of $24,000.

  • A: Grants of up to $1000 for individuals, groups, arts businesses
  • B: Grants of up to $2000 for community activities
Background

Arts OutWest is the regional arts development organisation (RADO) covering 11 council areas in the NSW Central West region.  Our mission is to promote, facilitate, educate and advocate for arts and cultural development in our communities.

The NSW Government’s Arts Restart funds are designed to stimulate arts activity and economic growth in regional areas, prioritising:

  • Employment of arts workers and creatives
  • Development of new work
  • Supporting Regional NSW through touring or other measures.

At Arts OutWest we recognise that COVID-19 continues to impact on the arts sector in our region and so have directed $24,000 in funding from the NSW’s Government’s Arts Restart to Micro Grants.

Arts OutWest’s Arts Restart Micro Grants are offered with a quick turn-around time-frame in terms of assessment, providing the money to recipients and the delivery of the funded activities: Activities supported by the funding must be completed by 30 June 2021.
