While the World Waits exhibition in Mudgee

While the World Waits Exhibition - Mudgee_020722_0009

Continues to 31 July. Thank you to the lovely crowd of people who joined us for both the ‘While the World Waits’ exhibition opening on Friday night and panel chat on Saturday afternoon at Mudgee Arts Precinct .

The exhibition opened on Friday 1 July and the panel was on Saturday July 2. People travelled from as far away as Cowra and Dubbo to join us.

It was a delight to meet and catch up with so many people; an enormous privilege to share the opening with Anna-Wili Highfield and her extraordinary exhibition ‘Mating Dance’ in the main gallery (you MUST see it); and to have musicians Smith & Jones along to play and to share insights on the panel.
The panel chat was an insightful, sometimes even moving, look at the ‘While the World Waits’ music and now visual arts projects as examples of the work Arts OutWest does. The panel also featured Arts OutWest’s Patrick Coomey, Steven Cavanagh (with his curator and artist hat on), Christine McMillan (as both artist and arts and health coordinator), and our executive director Kylie Shead.
A big thank you to Lizzy Galloway and all the Mudgee Arts Precinct/ Mid-Western Regional Council team for hosting us and making us so welcome. You are all a delight to work with!
Thanks as always Cazeil Creative (Arts OutWest media associate) for the excellent pictures.
‘While the World Waits’ is at Mudgee Arts Precinct until Sunday July 31. Daily.
‘Mating Dance’ runs to September 18. Mudgee Arts Precinct is open 7 days a week. Free entry.
