MID-WESTERN REGIONAL LIBRARY, MUDGEE. Fun activities these schools holidays at your local library for ages 3-12. The Library’s Wizard of Oz themed program is sure to delight and entertain with various art and crafts, and movie afternoons. Make a tinman from recycled tins, create a flowerpot scarecrow, design a hot air balloon with buttons, and much more.

ORANGE REGIONAL MUSEUM, ORANGE. Experiment with transfers, stamps, collage and stencils and create your own front page featuring photographs taken 70 years ago for the Central Western Daily on display now in our exhibition Child’s Play: Growing up in Orange in the 1950s and 1960s.

School Holiday Workshop: Pinball Wizards

ORANGE REGIONAL MUSEUM, ORANGE. Fancy yourself a pinball wizard? Join us to design and build your own pinball game out of cardboard and other found materials. This activity is inspired by our current exhibition Child’s Play: Growing up in the 1950s and 1960s, and includes a brief tour of the exhibition. Suitable for kids aged 8+.

COWRA CIVIC CENTRE.
Beatboxing is the deep exploration of extended vocal techniques to find new sounds and combine them in new ways. Beatboxing practice can turn a vocalist into a drumkit, or a sample pad, or a lead melody line. It is an art form that has drastically evolved from its hip-hop roots and make its way into popular culture and contemporary music practice

Cementa

KANDOS. Cementa is a bi-annual contemporary arts festival in Kandos NSW. This festival brings together artists from urban and regional contexts for a four day celebration of the state of contemporary art in Australia. Taking its regional situation as focus, Cementa celebrates the diversity of voices that can be heard within our contemporary arts communities. We showcase contemporary art across the spectrums of generation, process, and practice.
