Welcome to our BIG list of arts and cultural events happening in the NSW Central West gathered from artists, event producers, great local venues and groups across the region.

This is a busy artistic region. There’s usually more than 2000 arts and heritage events happeing in the region each year. Of course, 2020 looks a little different but the events are slowly returning where possible.

Tarana Photographic Exhibition – Entries Close

ONLINE. Bathurst Regional Art Gallery is working with Goldberg Aberline Studio (GAS) to create a giant inflatable sculpture for display at this year’s Sculpture by the Sea, Bondi, and we are asking members of the Bathurst community to help!

Cowra Radio Dramas Pitches Due

COWRA. Radio Drama is currently making a bit of a comeback in Australia (it never went away in the UK) and Cowra Civic Centre is going to produce 5 or 6 new radio plays to add to this growing national collection. We are looking to collaborate with 5 or 6 writers from the Central West region of NSW to commission radio dramas that will be between 20 and 30 minutes long each

Call for entries closes: Arts Revival Festival

PARKES. As part of the festival an art exhibition will be held from 14 December 2020 to 26 January 2021 in the Coventry Room and we invite all artists, photographers, potters, sculptors and creators to contribute a piece to the exhibition.

Sharp Short Dance Festival heats

COWRA CIVIC CENTRE. Sharp Short Dance, Sydney’s most exciting youth dance festival, offers the best young dancers and choreographers from across NSW the opportunity to showcase their talent to a panel of industry professionals and compete for a variety of prizes and awards.
