Welcome to our BIG list of arts and cultural events happening in the NSW Central West gathered from artists, event producers, great local venues and groups across the region.
This is a busy artistic region. There’s usually more than 2000 arts and heritage events happeing in the region each year. Of course, 2020 looks a little different but the events are slowly returning where possible.

ORANGE. The Orange Wine Festival is the region's opportunity to celebrate its thriving wine and food culture and quality cool-climate wines, unique to the region.
THE FOUNDATIONS, PORTLAND. Events will include workshops, artwork and sculpture installations, opportunities for artists to explore the site, historical site tours, walking and running tours around the trails, kids eco and sustainability workshops and much more…
ROSBY ESTATE MUDGEE. Usually held over a two-day period, this year the event will be running for 2 weeks and will be ticketed to ensure guest numbers are kept within COVID Safe protocols.
COWRA CIVIC CENTRE. Sharp Short Dance, Sydney’s most exciting youth dance festival, offers the best young dancers and choreographers from across NSW the opportunity to showcase their talent to a panel of industry professionals and compete for a variety of prizes and awards.
FORBES SERVICES MEMORIAL CLUB, FORBES. The 2020 Forbes Baby Boomers Music Festival will be held over the weekend in 30, 31 October and 1 November.
PARKES. Revival seems like the perfect theme for the festival - an opportunity to revive, celebrate and foster artistic activity in our local community and use the arts to inspire and uplift people in these troubled times.
ORANGE. Australian poetry is alive and well and this Festival will provide something for every age group, including Aboriginal performance, lots of local history and the wonderful food and wine of the Orange region.
PARKES. Start your engines and speed your way to the 2021 Parkes Elvis Festival, where we’ll celebrate Elvis’ 1968 musical film, Speedway.
ORANGE. The Orange Chamber Music Festival is the new art music event of the Central West, featuring established ensembles as well as upcoming Australian artists, local talent and international guest artists.
CANOWINDRA. See the magic and spectacle as a plethora of hot air balloons take to the skies each morning and late afternoon in Canowindra every April, over an eight day period at the Canowindra International Balloon Challenge
