Welcome to our BIG list of arts and cultural events happening in the NSW Central West gathered from artists, event producers, great local venues and groups across the region.

This is a busy artistic region. There’s usually more than 2000 arts and heritage events happeing in the region each year. Of course, 2020 looks a little different but the events are slowly returning where possible.

ORANGE CIVIC THEATRE, ORANGE. Benjamin Britten’s Young Persons Guide to the Orchestra spotlights each of the instrumental groups before the full orchestra comes together for a rousing finale. In a special performance, the work will be narrated by Marian Arnold.

Mara! Big Band

BMEC, BATHURST. For over 3 decades the Mara! Quintet has been developing a new genre of contemporary Australian music, exploring the intersection between jazz and world music. This has earned them two ARIA awards and two final ARIA nominations and taken them across the globe many times with tours to 23 countries.
