Welcome to our BIG list of arts and cultural events happening in the NSW Central West gathered from artists, event producers, great local venues and groups across the region.
This is a busy artistic region. There’s usually more than 2000 arts and heritage events happeing in the region each year. Of course, 2020 looks a little different but the events are slowly returning where possible.

ORANGE REGIONAL GALLERY, ORANGE. There are three to choose from. All come with at least two hands-on activities and most of the materials you need so that you can complete them from home.
ORANGE REGIONAL MUSEUM, ORANGE. Regenerate is an exhibition by local school children exploring the responses of Australia’s bushland to fire. Taking inspiration from Mount Canobolas and the 2018 bushfires, this exhibition explores how native eucalypt species on the mountain regenerate after fire.
PICK UP FROM ORANGE CITY COUNCIL. Build cities with us and dip into history and heritage too this school holidays. Central West Libraries is offering take home Rock, Paper, City Craft and Activity Packs to stimulate creative mind.
ORANGE REGIONAL CONSERVATORIUM, ORANGE. A day long workshop with Australian composer Alice Chance for music students and teachers, while here in Orange working with Acacia Quartet. This will be a unique opportunity to learn techniques and processes from a leading young composer.
BATHURST. Designed to improve and educate young dancers in Bathurst and the surrounding area’s about the skills outside of strictly dancing, needed to improve their own performance.
OBERON. PHOTOGRAPHIC COMPETITION FOR 12-24 YEARS. Get your entry form from the OYC Facebook or Oberon Council’s Website Categories include: Architecture, Landscapes/Floral, Animals and People
ORANGE. Excited to be running after school art classes in Term 3 at OPS! Thursday arvos- Grades 3-6.
BATHURST REGIONAL ART GALLERY. Budding artists between the ages of 0 and 18 are invited to submit a portrait for the Young Archie competition, as part of our family focused activities for the Archibald Prize regional tour.
