Applications are open for the UTS Library Creative in Residence 2027.
Now entering its 16th year, the program offers a creative practitioner six months to develop and deliver a new work that activates the Library’s spaces, culture and community.
The successful applicant will receive $15,000 remuneration plus a separate $5,000 materials budget, along with curatorial, installation, promotional and public-programming support.
Applications are open to emerging and established creatives across disciplines, including regional practitioners able to undertake the required time in Sydney. Applicants don’t need to be affiliated with UTS, but must have current Australian work rights, hold a current Working With Children Check and be available to work in the Library for at least 16 weeks or equivalent.
Applications close at 5pm on Monday 26 October 2026.
