Test drive Cowra Voices

Filed : Cowra Voices, CULTURAL TOURISM, Our Projects: .

Are you free June 24 or 25? Around Cowra? Help test drive (literally) the Cowra Voices app.

The new storytelling app Cowra Voices will be launched as part of the 75th Anniversary of Breakout weekend in August 2019.

Many people in and connected to the Cowra community have even been interviewed for this project, their voices added to this exciting interactive visitor app.

Cowra Voices is a storytelling app exploring Cowra’s unique history of peace and friendship with Japan. This geo-locative smartphone app allows users to experience places of historic significance through audio-visual stories narrated by Cowra community members. Cowra Voices brings to light stories that remain unknown or unacknowledged, yet belong to all Australians.

Its taken the team three years to complete from an idea to proposals to funding applications to its development.

We are now looking for volunteers to test drive the app!

If you are able to:

  • Download the free app and test drive it (you will need a smart phone and a car – it will take you about 1-2 hours) sometime between 24 June (Monday) 10 am and 25 June (Tuesday) 3pm
  • And attend a focus group meeting at Cowra Council between 3pm-4pm

If this is you please get in contact with Mayu Kanamori mayu@mayu.com.au
