Staff movements at Arts OutWest

While the World Waits Exhibition - Mudgee_020722_0026

Along with the seasons changing we have some staff changes at Arts OutWest: Christine McMillan, who has been the Arts & Health Coordinator for 15 years is retiring this month.

We can’t thank Christine enough for her thoughtful dedication to arts and health projects, which have encompassed hospital redevelopments, maternal and infant health, Aboriginal health, projects for people with disability, mental health and wellbeing, aged care and dementia programs.  Arts & health has been a key strategic focus – and big success story – for Arts OutWest since Christine joined the team back in 2008 to coordinate the integration of arts into the Bathurst Hospital redevelopment.

With Christine’s retirement Steven Cavanagh has moved from job-sharing communication to coordinate arts & health and exhibitions (a role he’s been doing most of this year). Kate Smith works alongside Steven in arts & health, primarily working on the Virtual Art Snacks program.

Nicola Mason has joined us two days a week as communication and admin assistant. Nic is currently updating the Culture Maps website, working on the development of our creatives database and assisting communication officer Maryanne Jaques.

Kathy Weekes, our finance officer, is also retiring. Kathy has been with us since 2016. We thank Kathy for her seven years wrangling the finances.  Kathy is handing over to Kristie Coles.
