WHAT IS SALON?
Salon is a pitching event that builds relationships between NSW and ACT artists, producers and presenters, creating opportunities for touring and partnerships.
Artists can submit an EOI to deliver a short pitch about their work, its creative vision, viability for touring, and unique offering to regional audiences. All eligible projects are included in the Salon booklet, circulated to NSW and ACT venue presenters.
Alongside artists and producers, selected venue presenters will pitch their organisation: their programming aspirations and approach, their audiences, capacity and partnership opportunities. If you’re a venue manager interested in pitching, please Maeve Marsden: project@artsontour.com.au
Salon also includes networking drinks – where all attendees will have the opportunity to meet and discuss their work and programming.
I HAVE A SHOW TO PITCH
You can complete our EOI form HERE to be considered for a live pitch at the event, and to be included in the Salon booklet.
If you have any questions or want to discuss your pitch, please contact Maeve at Arts on Tour by emailing project@artsontour.com.au.
I CREATE WORK IN REGIONAL NSW – IS THIS FOR ME?
Yes! We encourage regional artists and producers to submit an EOI to ensure the Salon booklet includes work being made across NSW and ACT. If you are selected to pitch live we will have a small travel budget.
I WANT TO BE IN THE ROOM
Great! Anyone can attend. There is a modest fee for salaried arts workers and it’s FREE for independent artists but you still need to book a ticket.
