AFTER THE FIRES
Artists and cultural workers explore the impact of the Mt Gosper fire on the community.

Local artists and cultural workers joined with the Lithgow and Dargan community to exhibit art works in an exhibition at Gang Gang Gallery, Lithgow and explore the impact of the Mt Gosper fires on their community and map a pathway forward as the community comes together to transition Lithgow from a coal-dependent economy, responding to the eco- anxieties of young people in response to climate change, learning about alternative ways of living with fire through cultural burning as caring for country, and learning about Darug artist Chris Tobin’s experience at his art camp at Bell.

Arts OutWest auspiced the funding from the Australian Government’s Regional Arts Fund for this project.
