The Orange Regional Conservatorium of Music (ORC) is thrilled to announce a momentous development in its mission to provide outstanding music education and cultural enrichment for the Orange community and beyond.

At its meeting of October 17, Orange City Council has committed to proceed with the construction of a cutting-edge, multimillion-dollar facility that will elevate ORC to a preeminent status within Australia’s Regional Conservatoria.
We extend our deepest gratitude to Orange City Council for their unwavering support of the project, and to Federal and State governments for their generous contributions.
Pam Ryan, Chair of the ORC Management Committee, expressed her elation at the passing of this final hurdle, saying, “This decision represents an enormous leap forward for the Orange Regional Conservatorium and our vibrant community. It will further strengthen our highly successful programs, ensuring that we continue to nurture and inspire the next generation of musicians.”
Donna Riles, ORC Director, added, “This state-of-the-art building is not just a home for music; it is a testament to the power of collaboration and the belief in the transformative potential of the arts. We are tremendously excited about the countless possibilities this new facility will unlock.”
The dynamic local Orange community has already rallied to support the project, raising $900,000 of a $1.5M target for a quality fit-out of the new facility, a testament to its commitment to the future of music education in Orange. The ORC now has the certainty to move onto our second phase of the fundraising campaign.
The Conservatorium has long been a cornerstone of the community, providing cultural, social, and economic enrichment. It aligns perfectly with Orange City Council’s aspirations and plans for the city.
