One for the diary: NSW Youth Advisory Council applications
Applications are sought from diverse locations, backgrounds and life experiences. Open to all children and young people between ages 12 and 24 who reside in NSW.
Applications will now open on Monday 20 January 2020 and close on Sunday 1 March 2020.
Young people who are successful in the first stage of the process will be invited to a recruitment event to be held at NSW Parliament House during the week starting 30 March 2020. The final selection for the NSW Youth Advisory Council will be made following this event.
The 12 member YAC provides a direct avenue of communication between young people and the NSW Government.
The YAC meets regularly throughout the year to provide advice to the Government and the Office of the Advocate for Children and Young People on issues, policies and laws that affect children and young people in NSW. The NSW Youth Advisory Council plays an important role in advising the NSW Government on issues that are relevant to young people across the state.
