Oberon Arts Council is Central West 2020 Volunteer Team of the Year

Oberon Arts Council has be awarded for their excellent work on the arts and health project at Oberon MPS.

A MASSIVE congratulations to Oberon Arts Council and their president Fran Charge (who is also Chair of Arts OutWest) on winning the Centre for Volunteering Central West Volunteer Team of the Year today!

Oberon Arts Council are our on-the-ground partners in the ‘Oberon Art Group’ project at Oberon MPS. They deliver, alongside aged care staff and professional artists and musicians weekly arts programming for aged care residents at Oberon MPS. Not to mention the years of arts development and projects for the Oberon community.

They have also been successful in gaining funding for an art work hanging system, framing of work, materials and presenters fees.

Project partners are Arts OutWest, Western NSW Local Health District and Oberon Arts Council with funding from Oberon Council, Veolia-Mulwaree Trust, Essential Energy and the Mazda Foundation.
