Regional Networks

Arts OutWest facilitates and propels a number of peer and industry networks  for our region, the NSW Central West*.

The networks aim to support, inform, find new ways to collaborate, highlight where advocacy is needed, share skills and resources, link people and grow the professional opportunities in the region.

How they work

At the moment the networks are based around Facebook groups moderated by Arts OutWest. There might be other online connections such as Zoom meet ups, as relevant. We’ll connect online for now but when social distancing rules permit we’ll also have some real-life, in person network meet ups.

The networks

So far (others to come soon):

Musicians: for performers, teachers, composers, conductors, live music and recording technicians, music industry businesses in all genres. For those who make some or all of their living from the music industry, or are aiming to do that. Request to join here

Visual artists: a broad network for all visual artists in the region.

Galleries: a network of commercial and co-op visual at galleries in the region.

Cultural leaders: The people working to shape, drive, fund, deliver or design arts and cultural activity in our region be it via local government, independent arts organisations or within other institutions.

Aboriginal artists: a network coordinated by our Aboriginal arts development officer Aleshia Lonsdale for Aboriginal artists in all artforms. Many of the visual artists in this network also exhibit at our Kew-Y-Ahn Aboriginal Art Gallery. To find out more contact Aleshia Lonsdale (0428 041 108 / alonsdale@csu.edu.au).
