Enjoy an afternoon of energetic folk-rock fusion inspired by a lifetime on the road at the next Live & Kicking session at Cowra Civic Centre on Sunday 13 November at 2pm.
Matt Boylan-Smith and his band will bring the big sound of his recent releases ‘Somewhere in Soho’ and ‘Follow Me’ live to the Cowra Civic stage. A natural story-teller, Matt Boylan-Smith left his home town of Bathurst a few years ago to write, travel the world and tell people his tales.
“Matt is an engaging performer who likes everyone in the audience to have a good time,” said Arts OutWest music industry support officer Patrick Coomey. “It’s this quality that saw him finishing as a finalist in the Bluesfest Busking competition this year.”
Opening the afternoon will be Oberon local Chloe Swannell performing a set of her own original songs.
“If you’ve enjoyed one of the many live performances Chloe has given in Cowra or around the Central West, well you’ll be in for a treat here,” Mr Coomey said. “Chloe has an organic sound of just voice accompanied by wood and strings.”
Arts OutWest and the Cowra Civic Centre invite you to celebrate Ausmusic month with original live music made and played in the Central West. This is one of 15 Live & Kicking gigs across the region in November.
Arts OutWest’s Live & Kicking gigs are supported by the Australian Governments Live Music Australia.
