Sunday 15 May, 3pm at The Blind Pig Sound Lounge and Cocktail Bar Orange. Get ready for a sensory experience with this Dubbo-based duo.
Ever wondered what it would be like to blend the sonic palates together of Nine Inch Nails, Evanescence, Massive Attack and Crosses. We’ll wonder no more ERASER are a dark electronic pop band based in Dubbo who bring these sounds together in their own unique emotional, expressive and alternative style. Vocalist Rebecca Smith and Multi-instrumentalist, Songwriter and Producer Nolan Furnell discovered they had a shared love for this music and formed the band in early 2017.
They released their debut EP Epilogue in 2018, playing to a sold out crowd at the Western Plains’ Cultural Centre’s Black Box Theatre. They’ve supported One Proud Monkey on a Regional tour in NSW as well as performing at the inaugural Under Western Skies Festival in 2019. Their single Lost Control tied for Song of the Year at the 2021 Dubbo Original Music Awards.
Their music videos provide another aspect to their music creations that have produced some wonderful collaborations with local visual artists including Awakening, Lost Control and their latest single All for Nothing. ERASER also have developed an affiliation with local screen projects, having composed the score and providing songs for documentary Pride Out West, art exhibition ‘X’ and the short film Seeing, as well as the web series To The Ends of the Earth and featuring in the local documentary My Local Scene.
This promises to be a Live & Kicking sensory experience like no other at The Blind Pig Cocktail Bar & Sound Lounge of Original Live Music. You won’t be able to live stream or download it, you’ve gotta be there to experience it.
Arts OutWest is pleased to present in conjunction with The Blind Pig a series of Live & Kicking shows featuring the Original music of artists from The Central West. Live & Kicking gigs are supported by the Australian Governments Live Music Australia.
