Little Magpie Gallery finding its wings

Little Magpie Gallery Cowra N Mason 2

Newly launched little magpie gallery in Kendal Street is excited to announce they are going ahead with the fabulous little gallery for 2024!

The gallery was set up as a venture to invigorate the main street of Cowra, bring visiting artists, workshop opportunities and showcase invited Central West artists.

Two wonderful exhibitions at the end of 2023 Tonal Conversations and From this Place brought together a variety of artists with feature artists being local ceramicists Graham Watt and Greg Daly.  Both these artists kindly launched each exhibition and gave an artist talk on opening night.

“On the strength of these exhibitions and encouraging community response we have renewed the lease,” said gallery owner Inel Date.

The gallery currently has the Summer Salon on exhibition.

“We look forward to the next Autumn group exhibition TRANSITIONS which will be up by the Easter Weekend and will run for the month of April. Keep an eye on the socials for the event opening on Wed 10 April.  Some wonderful curated exhibitions are planned throughout this year,” Inel said.

“We have launched our workshop 2024 workshop season  with two workshops by fabulous Cowra artist Shani Nottingham, we are hosting “Gorgeous Gouache” with Cowra plein air artist David Henley on Tuesday 19 March and a Gelli Plate print making workshop run by Jillian Reidy Saturday planned for April 6.

“We have many exciting little projects and workshops planned for the rest of the year to tie in with our exhibitions – best you get in touch with Inel Date to subscribe to little magpie gallery news and to be kept in the loop for artist callouts and opportunities.”
