Join the conversation and celebrate the arts in regional NSW
The launch of Artstate Wagga Wagga will preview the exciting program being brought to the region in November 2020.
This launch will commence at 10.30am on Tuesday 25 August and is expected to run for approx 1 hour.
Artstate is a four-year project by Regional Arts NSW that shines a light on excellence in arts practice in the regions and explores exciting possibilities for arts and cultural development across the state.
Each year, we partner with our network of Regional Arts Development Organisations to bring a vibrant program of regional and national speakers to a new regional location, where they can share their unique experiences in and knowledge of the arts.
A curated Arts Program also provides visitors an unprecedented opportunity to see the very best and brightest talent that regional NSW has to offer. In 2020 Artstate will take place in the Riverina city of Wagga Wagga in company with the great team from Eastern Riverina Arts.
From 5 – 8 November, we’ll be hosting an inspiring two-day Speakers Program that explores the themes of Walking Together and Shaping Tomorrow . Accompanying the Speakers Program will be a diverse Arts Program that showcases the work of creatives from across the Riverina region.
Integral to Artstate is a strong focus on Aboriginal arts and arts leaders, as well as the recognition of the contribution of local government to arts and cultural development in regional NSW.
