Exhibitions Coordinator

As Exhibitions Coordinator you will develop and deliver Bathurst Regional Art Gallery’s celebrated artistic program comprising curated and gallery-initiated exhibitions, touring exhibitions, artist in residence programs, commissions, and public art projects.

Working with the Art Gallery Director, the Exhibition Coordinator plays a key role in implementing all facets of program delivery including design, installation, publication management, and evaluation.

In this exciting role you will oversee a small exhibitions team to deliver high level outcomes for artists, clients, and visitors. You will be an adaptable, collaborative, and focused individual who recognises the important role regional public galleries play in their communities.

AUDIENCE ENGAGEMENT OFFICER

Are you passionate about connecting audiences to visual art? Bathurst Regional Art Gallery is seeking a creative professional to join its team as Audience Engagement Officer.

The Audience Engagement Officer works closely with the Gallery Director and Exhibitions Coordinator to develop education and public programs that enhance the Gallery’s artistic programs and audience experience (onsite, offsite and online). The position is also responsible for the promotion of BRAG exhibitions and events through media and online platforms, creating marketing and promotional material consistent with the BRAG brand identity, and developing opportunities to leverage new media and technology to promote and deliver programs to a range of audiences. BRAG is looking for a motivated, multi-skilled individual who thrives in a fast-paced work environment and who can work as part of small team that includes volunteers.

Exhibitions Officer

(Part time: 21 hours per week Wednesday to Friday )

As Exhibitions Officer you will support the implementation of Bathurst Regional Art Gallery’s celebrated artistic program comprising curated and gallery-initiated exhibitions, touring exhibitions, artist in residence programs, commissions, and public art projects.

Working with the Exhibition Coordinator you will assist with program delivery including research and administration, installation and deinstallation, stakeholder engagement, reporting, and bring technical skill and innovation to Gallery exhibitions and programs. You will be an adaptable, collaborative, and focused individual who recognises the important role regional public galleries play in their communities. This is a permanent part time role, 21 hours per week (Wednesday – Friday).
