Inaugural artist-in-residency program located in regional New South Wales

the CORRIDOR project invites 16 NSW regionally based multi-disciplinary artists, writers, and curators to participate in their 2020 inaugural artist-in-residency program. Supported by Regional Arts Fund NSW.

The CORRIDOR project has received funding for artist-in-residencies 2020 + PD-LAB which is an inaugural art program involving 16 selected artists located in regional New South Wales. Artists, writers, and curators will cross-pollinate during residencies creating site-specific works for exhibition.

The program will include skills and professional development, tutored by creative and science experts in photo-media, curatorial practice, writing, Traditional Ecological Knowledge, music, sound, earth sciences, plant pathology, astronomy, strengthening studio practice, engagement, development and research for exhibitions. Opportunities will enable and extend artists’ exposure and career opportunities locally and internationally through networks established at the CORRIDOR project near Cowra NSW.

The program will be delivered over four seasons during 2020 located at the CORRIDOR – additional support includes field trips with scientists and tutors.

Four topics relative to the environment have been selected as a masthead for each season leading to research and development of site-specific works documented for exhibition.

Professional development and skills training will be provided by key sector professionals in visual and performance arts, writing and curatorial practice.
