Arts OutWest supported production ‘Highway of Lost Hearts’ was presented at Arts on Tour’s Salon industry event in Sydney July 24.
Arts OutWest executive director Kylie joined some of the creatives from the ‘Highway of Lost Hearts’ creative team at the Rebel Theatre in Sydneyat the @artsontour annual Salon, an initiative to build relationships between NSW artists/producers and presenters: a small-scale, lo-fi conversation starter about touring performances.
At the event was the team behind the Lingua Franca 2021 production of Mary Anne Butler’s ‘Highway of Lost Hearts’: director Adam Deusien and musicians Sophie Jones and Abby Smith of @smithandjones_music . They were lucky enough to be selected to pitch the show to the attendees.
Arts OutWest was a partner on this project (funding auspice which included the contracting and financial management side of things) along with Lingua Franca and BMEC Bathurst. The 2021 production was supported by @creatensw and performed at Bathurst Memorial Entertainment Centre and Cowra Civic Centre.
