Grenfell’s new sculpture soars

Filed : Local and industry news .

The Grenfell Garden Club Inc. has funded and donated the Weddin Shires most recent community art project: The Grenfell Eagle.

Local artist and sculptor Kathleen McCue was commissioned to produce the work.

The Eagle Sculpture has been installed at the corner of Warrderry and O’Briens Street on the Mid Western Highway (Near the LLS Office).

The Eagle was chosen as the theme for the sculpture as it symbolises Community Spirit and strength which is appropriate given the community is struggling like many others with the effect of drought.

The official launch of the new sculpture to the community will be Tuesday 3rd September at 2pm on site.

Everyone is welcome to attend this informal event.
