Join us Saturday June 1 in Forbes. Arts OutWest celebrates 50 Years in Central West NSW with a fun cabaret style anniversary dinner.

Tickets on sale for this major milestone event.

Arts OutWest, the regional arts development organisation for the NSW Central West, has been working across the NSW Central West for 50 years.

Over 50 years, the regional service organisation has been committed to promoting, facilitating, educating and advocating for arts and cultural development in the region.

To commemorate this significant milestone, Arts OutWest invites artists and supporters to join them at an anniversary dinner at Forbes Town Hall on Saturday 1 June.

A line up of entertainment from the region, hosted by Carcoar-based performer Tim Hansen, curated by musician Rob Shannon (from Forbes, living in Bathurst), with local musician Georgia Sideris and Bathurst country folk duo Great Aunt making up a house band performing throughout the night – leaving time to chat and mingle too.

“Expect some quirky, quality performances with a very distinct Central West flavour – and a few surprises,” Rob Shannon said.

Three art exhibitions will open on the night including work by the Forbes Arts Society, work by Arts OutWest staff, board and advisory council members, and photography from Arts OutWest’s media associates program.

Food will be from local culinary champions Eat Your Greens.

Already past staff and board members, artists from across the region and representatives from key arts organisations have booked tickets, including some travelling from inter-state to be there.

Member for Orange Phil Donato, NSW Shadow Arts Minister for the Arts Kevin Anderson, Ben Franklin MLC, and CEO of Regional Arts NSW Tracey Callinan will be amongst the high profile attendees along with a number of past staff and board members.

“It’ll be a night to chat arts, meet artists, meet up with people from Arts OutWest’s past,” said Arts OutWest chair Margot Jolly

“Arts OutWest has played a pivotal role in nurturing artistic talent, promoting community engagement, and enhancing the cultural vitality on a regional level,” said Margot Jolly. “We’re excited to celebrate that with such a good variety of people from across history and across the region.”

Guests are encouraged to dress for the party, with outfits reflecting the talents of the region.

“Pop on a locally made outfit, hat, or pair of earrings and join Arts OutWest as we celebrate 50 years of artistic excellence, community engagement, and cultural enrichment in the NSW Central West,” Ms Jolly said.

Arts OutWest is one of 15 regional arts development organisations across the state, receiving funding from state, local and federal government and working with a wide range of partners to deliver support and run strategic arts projects in their region.

Tickets for the event are $110 per person and include a complimentary drink upon arrival. Single tickets and tables of 8 are available.

Tickets available from Humanitix or via the artsoutwest.org.au website
