WORKSHOP – Learn to make Polymer Clay Jewellery
Sun 20 November at 10:30 am - 2:30 pm
One event on Sun 20 November 2022, at 10:30 am
The Annexe is very excited to bring Keely Murray, local business owner and maker behind Marble + Klay in for 2 dates of amazing workshops where you will learn how to create your very own polymer clay earrings!
Keely’s business, Marble + Klay, began in 2019 with lanyards to go with each of her work outfits. Keely quickly fell in love with using polymer clay to create and what started as a hobby grew into what it is today. As someone who loves fashion, Keely knows how important it is to find items that fit seamlessly into your wardrobe and allow you to show off your personal style. Each piece is designed to do just this, meaning they will be pieces you grab to wear over and over again.
Students will be stepped through making 3 pairs of earrings: studs, dangles and hoops. You will be able to take home their left-over clay and earring findings to make an additional 3 pairs of earrings. You will learn the clay basics plus a range of different pattern and texture techniques. There is also a YouTube video stepping students through the process so if people would like a refresher they will have access to that as they work through at home.
Each workshop is a single day class and limited to 6 students per class. The cost includes everything you will need to make 3 pairs of earrings on the day and an additional 3 pairs at home.
Lunch is also provided (please advise of any dietary requirements).
