Tenors of the past, and now William Amer
Sat 2 December at 2:00 pm
$25
This very rare presentation by William Amer, long time resident in the Bathurst region, continues the musical passion of his life, being lead by his classical tenor voice. William sings and talks about these voices of the past. He doesn’t imitate the characteristics of those voices, they are so different, but he sings their songs which made them popular here in Australia and around the world. As a tribute to them he delved into his large collection of gramophone records and will play a typical shellac 78rpm record as examples of their voices and art. These will be played on an HMV wind-up gramophone. Started singing as a 16yro boy on leaving high school and continues nearly 60 years later! You will be amazed at the freshness of his voice after so much work in Sydney and country NSW. BOOKINGS are a MUST! (Payable at the door on the day.)
Bookings: phone 0421 871 348 or email infowilliamer@gmail.com, all messages left will receive a prompt reply.
Bookings required, pay at the door on the day.
