Travelling Film Festival 2023 Orange
Fri 11 August - Sun 13 August
$13 – $19.50
📅 THE TRAVELLING FILM FESTIVAL HEADS TO ORANGE 📅
Travelling Film Festival (TFF) is heading to Orange, the weekend of 11-13 August, at the Odeon 5 Cinemas, Orange, bringing some of the best films from the Sydney Film Festival to the west! We’re excited to kick off our festival with Opening Night film CARMEN, the fiery, romantic thriller starring Paul Mescal and Melissa Barrera, Special guests are filmmaker and producer Rosemary Blight and Marina Tamayo, one of the film’s stars and a brilliant flamenco dancer, who will join the audience for a Q&A afterwards. A light supper with bubbles and nibbles is included in the ticket price. Across the weekend, 8 more feature length films and 3 shorts will light up the screen, with the moving THREE CHORDS AND THE TRUTH, a brand new Australian film with a fabulous soundtrack screening alongside the acclaimed new feature PAST LIVES, acclaimed at Sundance and Berlin festivals and predicted for Oscar contention! Another Australian festival favourite is THE CARNIVAL, a fascinating new documentary capturing the initmate moments of the sixth-generation carnival family, the Bells, as they traverse the country keeping Australia’s oldest show on the road. The festival continues to present great international films such as RICEBOY SLEEPS (Canada) a Korean migrant story, EO from master Polish filmmaker Jerzy Skolimowski and the Iranian psychological mystery thriller SUBTRACTION, together with Norwegian/Sámi LET THE RIVER FLOW, a story about fighting for cultural acknowledgement and the environment, and the very funny I LIKE MOVIES, an ode to cinephiles, video shops and growing up! Buy your ticket to Opening Night, or pick up a Flexi5 or festival Subscription pass, wiht tickets starting at $13, to see more across the weekend at www.sff.org.au/tff |
