The Uncooperative is an after-school social art program for young people. It is all about having fun in an inclusive and culturally safe space. If you are 13-19 years old and you like art, you are welcome to come and hang out.
It’s on straight after school every Tuesday afternoon from 14 March 2023 at WAYOUT where you’ll get:
- Fun art workshops and talks by professional artists
- Afternoon tea
- Bus transport home at 5.30pm if you need it
- Your own Art Pack after 3 visits
- Your own group exhibition at WAYOUT in July
The Uncooperative is facilitated by Kandos local, Gab Bates who is an experienced artist and art teacher.
Parents, guardians, teachers, healthcare workers and young people are invited to join us for an information session at 3.30pm on Tuesday, 7 March 2023 at WAYOUT to meet Gab, learn more about the program and discuss any special needs you may have.
WAYOUT is located at 71 Angus Avenue, Kandos.
The Uncooperative is a Cementa Inc initiative funded by the State Government of NSW.
Cementa Inc. acknowledges the Wiradjuri people as the Traditional Custodians of the Country upon which we live, learn and work. We honour their Ancestors and pay our deepest respects to their Elders, past, present and emerging.
