The Lorax film screening – School Holidays – Orange City Library
Fri 14 July at 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm
The Lorax is a movie based on the classic Dr Seuss book of the same name. It tells the story of a boy living in a world with no trees, who seeks to find out what life was like before, and how humans came to be in this predicament. He encounters “The Onceler”, a business magnate who set an environmental catastrophe in motion, and who was unable to stop it once it began, and The Lorax, a grumpy and mysterious creature who “speaks for the trees”. Together, they decide that they can make a difference.
The Lorax is a bright and colourful movie with a positive environmental message that can be taken on by anyone, no matter how small.
“Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better. It’s not”.
Movie snacks will be provided. Please indicate when booking if you have any dietary requirements.
This movie is rated PG and is recommended on Common Sense Media for kids 5 and over.
All attendees under 8 must be accompanied by a parent or caregiver.
Bookings are essential and spaces are limited. https://www.eventbrite.com.au/e/the-lorax-film-screening-school-holidays-orange-city-library-tickets-664302676187
