The Centenary of Henry Lawson’s Death: 1922-2022

Hosted by Kevin Pye, local award-winning author and Lawson advocate

Monday 29 August to Thursday 1 September (10–11am)

Residents and community groups are invited to Mudgee Library to listen to daily readings and share their own favourite verses or stories.

Friday 2 September – Bus Tour of Significant Sites

Bus departs Mudgee Library at 9.30am, arriving back at 11.30am

Sites include:

  • Budgee Inn (The Loaded Dog, Mt Buckaroo)
  • Church Lane (The Fire at Ross’s Farm)
  • Eurunderee School (The Old Bark School, An Echo from the Old Bark School, Through the Punishment Book, The Shanty on the Rise, Golden Gully, His Father’s Mate)
  • Memorial (The Chimney, Eurunderee, Days When We Went Swimming, The Teams)
