Fri 17 March at 8:30 am - 6:00 pm
Hosted by the CORRIDOR project near Wyangala on Wiradjuri Country by creative directors Phoebe Cowdery & Dylan Gower, SITING will explore ways to form meaningful connections to the land we inhabit and work on.
SITING will bring together the regional architecture community and a series of diverse speakers at a historic NSW Central West woolshed to examine the relationship between place, landscape, art and architecture.
SITING will explore ways to form meaningful connections to the land we inhabit and work on through understanding and respecting First Nations knowledge, art practices embedded in place-making, caring for the environment, and construction connected to the ground it is built on. In light of the recent flood disaster we will examine the particular environmental conditions that shape the area and explore projects working within these parameters.
A series of fringe events accompany Friday’s formal CPD program.
