Event 1

Selecting Photo Frames

Monday 10 October, 2022

4.00pm -6.00pm

Leader:  Jude Morrell

 

The purpose of this workshop is for the participants to consider printing off some of their images captured in Session 1 Phone/Camera Photo Shoot to a certain size that would be suitable to frame for a Photography Exhibition. Frame size could vary from A3 to A2, or the images could be printed on metallic photography paper, canvas, acrylic, aluminium, foam prints etc

There will be samples of the various types of frames and printing media available commercially.

Event 2

Drone Photography

Sunday 16 October, 2022

11.00am – 1.00pm

Leader: Nathan Leach

The workshop will commence at the Leisure Centre for participants to view a YouTube or PowerPoint on how to use drones and the legal requirements.

Under the tuition of a qualified drone operator, we will move down to the oval to see how a drone can capture images on a phone or laptop screen with the intention of taking images of the silos, mines, commercial, memorial park and sporting precinct.

The leader will explain what equipment is required to take drone photos.

 

Event 3

Writing Artist Statements

Leader:  Stephanie Williams

When entering photos or artworks into an Exhibition most visitors like to read about the story behind the photographer or artist.

They also like to know more about the background behind the photo or artwork.

During this workshop participants will learn how to write an artist statement and a description/title for each individual photo or artwork.

Bring along a couple of photos to help inspire your writing process.

This workshop is to support people in Peak Hill who wish to promote their local organization or business.  You will learn how to set up a Facebook page, Instagram account, create/schedule a post/event, how to make logos, and flyers etc.

Photo Framing

3.00pm – 6.00pm

After selecting images and frames during Session 1 and Session 2 workshops, participants will be shown how to frames their images ready to be hung in an exhibition.
