Orange Chamber Music Festival – Festival Winds

Sun 11 April at 11:00 am

The wind quartet is a versatile and ensemble, incorporating complex instrument combinations and tone colours. The Festival Winds invites some of Australia’s most exciting wind performers to Orange to prepare an exciting program highlighting woodwind instruments versatility and virtuosity.

The concert is book-ended by wind quartets, opening with English composer Michael Finnissey and concluding with the masterful Jean Françaix wind quartet. Embedded between these two fine quartets, the Festival winds will split into trios by Meurant, Arnold and Veress  to further focus the individual and blended sounds of the woodwind family.
