Orange Chamber Music Festival: Cultured – Art Music Heritage

Due to poor weather expected on Saturday 30th April, the activity Cultured at the South Court of the Civic Square has been moved to the Orange Civic Theatre.
The activity remains FREE and accessible.
Performances from 11:00am
11:00am The NSW Police Band Brass Quintet.
12:00pm The ORC Chamber Academy will perform a program of old classics and new commissions by Australian composers.
Both performances will run for 50 minutes with no intermission.
Activities at the Orange Regional Gallery and Museum remain unchanged.

Orange Chamber Music Festival 2022 is proud to present Cultured, a full day of free activities open to the community to participate in a combined display of fine arts, all within the Orange Cultural Precinct.
A major cultural event of the Central West, OCMF presents exciting and engaging classical music programs in partnership with Orange’s leading cultural organisations: Orange Regional Museum, the Orange Regional Art Gallery and the Orange Regional Conservatorium Chamber Academy.
Activities will range from outdoor performances to intimate solo recitals inside the Art Gallery and Museum, reacting to the current exhibitions and displays.
The evening will conclude with a world class performance by Australian renowned international artists at the Orange Civic Theatre.

ORC Chamber Academy | Origins New Works for New Faces
The ORC Chamber Academy represents the beginning of many young musician’s journeys through the world of chamber music. Nearly a dozen of Orange’s best and brightest school-age musicians come together to form the Chamber Academy, exploring the powerful connections that the intricacies of chamber music provides. The OCMF. Festival provides some of the highest quality training for the students of the academy as they perform alongside some of the best musicians from all over Australia.
