National Simultaneous Storytime

Wed 24 May at 10:50 am - 11:50 am

It’s that time of year again!
This year’s National Simultaneous Storytime will be held on Wednesday 24 May. The book selected by ALIA is ‘The Speedy Sloth’ by Rebecca Young and Heath McKenzie. It will be read at 11am sharp along with millions of children across the country. The special guest reader this year at Bathurst Library will be local BMX champion, Olympic coach and exercise physiologist Adam Carey.
Families with young children are invited to attend this fun storytime!
Adam and Library staff will lead children and families in fun games and activities encouraging physical movement and enjoyment of sports and exercise. A “speedy sloth” colouring-in face mask will available for families to collect from the Library prior to the day.
PLUS! Special lucky door prizes will be up for grabs. Kindly donated by our friends at BooksPlus.
