Event Series Event Series (See All)
Free

Celebrate NSW Seniors Festival 2024 with two special film screenings of ‘The Bookshop’.
To book, call Bathurst Library on 6333 6281.
Tuesday’s session features an introduction by Noel Cowan of the Movie Musical Memorabilia exhibition.
England, 1959. Florence Green, a free-spirited widow, puts grief behind her and risks everything to open up a bookshop – the first such shop in a sleepy seaside town, but she is not without opposition. Is there a place for a bookshop in a town that may not want one?
Based on Penelope Fitzgerald’s acclaimed novel and directed by Isabel Coixet, ‘The Bookshop’ is an elegant film about power, personal resolve and the battle for the soul of a community.
