Herbert Charles Treanor was born at Bathurst in 1878, the third child of local identities
Mick and Hannah Treanor. The life of Herb, as he was known, is told through his service
to others. After relocating to Tasmania, the near drowning death of his daughter Sheila
spurred Herb into action, becoming a founding member of Surf Life Saving Tasmania.
Hear about Herb’s life, as an example that should inspire us all.
