Marang Connections Calendar of Free Events

Marang Connections is a free 12-month program aiming to increase resilience, wellbeing and social connections for disadvantaged and disengaged young people aged 8-16 years. Young people will be offered one workshop/session per month facilitated by professional and reputable organisations to promote marang (well/good – Wiradjuri) lifestyles and connections.
The sessions will include:
– Cooking Workshop
– Sports Afternoon
– Aboriginal Artefact Workshop
– Swim Safety Session (must register by calling 6333 6523)

– Health Education Session
– NAIDOC Week Activities (girls business/boys business)
– Guest Speaker Yarn
– Family Fun Afternoon
20 regular participants will be invited to attend a cultural camp in September 2023 at Yalmambirra Boogijoon Doolin.
Transport is available by phoning (02) 6333 6523 two weeks prior to session.
