Live & Kicking Cletis Carr (Parkes)
Sun 6 November at 12:00 pm
Arts OutWest is pleased to present in conjunction with The Broadway Hotel Parkes a series featuring the Original music of artists from The Central West.
Cletis Carr is an artist who creates top shelf Americana/Folk/ Blues. His tales of joy, heartbreak, redemption, ordinary madness and everyday heroes are draped in a rich tapestry of acoustic steel-string and resonator guitars. He is an in demand performer here in the Central West as well as Sydney and Melbourne.
Cletis has a new full length blues album “Trouble & Me” that he will be performing with his trio. Late last year he also released an EP “Lurid Casino of Existence”. An accomplished songwriter with over 120 compositions released. He has toured the world, sharing stages with Tom Petty, John Mellencamp, Elvis Costello, Joan Jett, Nick Lowe and Huey Lewis, and performed with members of AC/DC, Rose Tattoo, the Easybeats, and the Saints. Cletis is also a consummate story teller and his tales of backstage stage life add another element to the entertainment.
Come and catch Cletis Carr at The Broadway Hotel for this Live & Kicking performance to celebrate Ausmusic month with Original Live Music made and played in the Central West. You won’t be able to live stream or download it, you’ve gotta be there to experience it.
Live & Kicking gigs are supported by the Australian Governments Live Music Australia.
