LithGlow 2021

Thu 8 April at 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

LithGlow 2021 will be a free ticketed COVID-19 safe event with a limit of 3,000 people. There will be the largest pyrotechnic display ever seen in Lithgow brought to you by Energy Australia.
The display will feature a dazzling barrage of shooting stars high over Lithgow Blast Furnace and Lake Pillans culminating with a perfectly choreographed multi-coloured finale. The spectacular fireworks display will reflect the power and energy of Lithgow’s Blast Furnace that roared like a fiery dragon from May 1907 until 1928.
You’ll be able to walk through the dominating Blast Furnace structure and imagine what it must have been like when it was the largest iron works in Australia 114 years ago. The site will become the canvas for lighting artists to recreate the glow of the once powerful blast furnace that was the heart of the Lithgow iron and steel industry.
There will be roving entertainment including Cirkus Surreal, plus mouth-watering food on offer. Pull up a chair, or bring along a picnic blanket to spread out and enjoy the entertainment. The spectacular Energy Australia Fireworks will be the largest fireworks display ever seen in Lithgow.
The live soundtrack for the night will be the psychedelic tunes of Paper-Sun under the backdrop of the towering Blast Furnace.
If you are feeling unwell on the day please do not attend the event.
Please use the hand sanitation stations located around the event site and at the entry point.
Please respect the staff and COVID Marshals by following their directions.
All guests should maintain social distancing.
Provision has been made to allow plenty of space, entertainment and food for a safe, fun and feelgood family event.
