“I grew up in a coastal town in North East England which bordered onto the North Sea. Winters were harsh with frequent and icy snowfalls.
I recall the area being transformed into a fairyland of white fields, the snow covering most of the vegetation and reflecting the colour of the light at different times of the day.”
“As a child I would delight in plunging knee deep into the snow and being fascinated by the patterns in the fields as the snow melted.”
