Intro to Linocut

Marilyn Hickey will take us through the basics of Linocut Printmaking.
A starter kit is available at The Little Art Nook, you will need to call Nicky to order yours. The kit is $30, and an extra piece of Lino is around $10
Derivan Block ink Lino Printing Kit contains Block Ink, One Black ink colour in a 50ml jar, Rubber Roller, One 4″ (10cm) hard rubber roller, Carving Tool Set, Six-piece carving tool set. Lino Mat, One 15x11cm double-sided vinyl lino tile, Palette Knife and a Plastic mixing palette knife
If you have the items in the kit already you won’t need to buy it.
Also bring what you have of the following:
Metal spoon (desert spoon) or ‘baren’
Non lint cloths
Tracing paper/carbon paper
2B sharp pencil
Cartridge paper or thick watercolour paper for printing on
Apron and a towl or drop cloth for your tabletop
Long ruler, knife and cutting mat (don’t buy one, we will have some available if you dont have one_
Fine permanent marker
Baby wipes and rags for cleanup
Disposable gloves if you wish
