Liam Benson: Hello, good to meet you

Liam Benson is a multi-disciplinary artist whose practice incorporates performance, photography, video and textiles. His work is informed by working collaboratively with diverse communities through an ongoing conversation about how culture, sub-culture and identity interrelate and evolve.

Luke Sciberras: A LIFE IN PRINT

Hill End based artist Luke Sciberras has donated 64 prints to the permanent collection of Bathurst Regional Art Gallery, the largest single donation of work ever made to the collection. The artist has also confirmed his intention to donate one print from each series he makes in the future to mark his life’s journey in prints. A selection of the gifted prints and related drawings will be on presented in conjunction with Luke Sciberras: Side of the Sky survey.
Luke Sciberras: Side of the Sky

Side of the Sky will focus on Sciberras’ extensive travels, and highlight his connection to Wedderburn, Hill End and the Central West region. The exhibition will also foreground Sciberras’ lesser-known drawing and print practice.

Assemblages and sculptures, prints, photos, videos and live performances tackle our sticky relationship with this useful but monstrous family of materials. The opening event promises to be serious but lots of fun with blessings performed by the witty and unapologetic Sisters of Perpetual PlastIx, a Ukulele performance of “Plastic in the House” with community participation from the Kandos Ukulele Group, Washing Up! (you can clean up after yourselves rather than chuck your trash in a bin and walk away), Be blessed! and Bell Ringing.

The Comedy of Errors – Orange
Orange Civic Theatre Byng St, Orange, NSWORANGE CIVIC THEATRE, ORANGE. Shipwrecked and separated 33 years earlier, two sets of long-lost twins miraculously find themselves in the same city on the same day. What could possibly go wrong? The Comedy of Errors is a hilarious romp of swapped identities, misguided love, mistaken imprisonment and chaotic mishaps, leading to an unbelievably crazy day for bumbling twins.

t.arts Gallery, Bathurst 47 Keppel St, Bathurst, NSW.arts Gallery is excited to present the Art4Fest exhibition which brings together the works of 4 very talented local artists during the Bathurst Winter Festival. The exhibition will showcase the works of James Lyle, Spencer Calveley, Karolyn Graham and Stephen 'Sven" Rogers. Such a variety of styles and influences - the show will be a feast for the eyes!
MATING DANCE: Anna-Wili Highfield
Mudgee Arts Precinct Market St, Mudgee, NSWMudgee Arts Precinct is delighted to present Mating Dance by Anna-Wili Highfield, an installation of courtship formations. The sculptures are an homage to the brolga – Australia's principal dancing bird. Suspended like marionettes, the birds are sewn from waxed cotton and have stopped mid-ballet, in a gesture of call, response and mimicry.
Composer and musician Bree Van Reyk has created an accompanying sound piece which will intermittently join the dancing birds with instrumentals inspired by the brolga’s bold trumpeting.
