Hip Hop & Hymns: Author Talk

Sat 11 March at 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Bathurst Library and Charles Sturt Alumni Office are thrilled to be hosting ex Bathurst CSU student and now ABC Journalist Mawunyo Gbogbo for a discussion on her powerful 2022 memoir ‘Hip Hop & Hymns’.

Described as ‘Puberty Blues with a hip hop beat’ by Stan Grant, Mawunyo’s story is a captivating journey of loving hard, falling apart, and fighting back.

As a successful journalist with ABC Australia, Mawunyo is a shining example of CSU’s amazing Communications graduates.

Join us for an inspiring conversation on the search for belonging, acceptance, and dreaming big, as Mawunyo shares her experiences as a woman of colour in Australia.

All are invited to stay after the book talk for light refreshments provided by the Charles Sturt Alumni Office.
